The network of positive energy territories brings together local communities and rural areas that are keen to address the question of energy using a global approach to regional development. It also gathers around them the stakeholders who can help them to achieve their objectives.

The network is made up of 3 groups:

  • Local communities and zones: local community or group of communities headed by elected representatives, without limitation as regards size or progress made in the area of energy policy, authorised to take action on the strategic objective of becoming a “positive energy territory”. The project territories (french “Pays”, regional nature parks, etc.) are part of this group.
  • Project owners: legal person or group of natural persons having implemented a collective project or a project of local interest related to energy.
  • Supporting structures: public or private legal person providing strategic, technical or financial support to the project owners and local communities. The networks and associations participating in the promotion of the network and the principles described in its charter are also members on this group.

The network of positive energy territories includes legal persons represented by natural persons. A list of network members has been published.
